🌟 July 2026 Young Makers Competition: Thank You Cards

There are moments in childhood that stay with us — tiny flashes of kindness, joy, courage or connection. A helping hand. A shared giggle. A sunny afternoon that felt like magic. This month, we’re inviting children to notice one of those moments and turn it into something beautiful.

💛 This Month’s Theme: Thank You Cards

For July’s Young Makers Competition, we’re asking children to create the front of a greetings card inspired by a special moment in their life — a moment they feel grateful for.

It might be:

  • a friend who made them laugh

  • a grown‑up who helped them

  • a pet who comforted them

  • a tiny everyday moment that felt big inside

There’s no right or wrong way to join in. Just space to explore gratitude, colour, imagination and the joy of creating something meaningful.

🎨 How to Take Part

  1. Read the theme together.

  2. Let your child create their card front in any way they like — drawing, painting, collage, digital art, nature treasures, anything.

  3. When they’re ready, email a photo of their creation to:

Faces never need to be shown — hands, colours and tiny details tell the story beautifully. Please include your child’s first name and age so we can celebrate them properly.

✨ What Happens Next

This month, four Young Makers will have their card design professionally printed and posted to them as a keepsake — a little treasure to remind them that their creativity matters.

Every child who enters will receive:

  • a digital Young Maker certificate

  • a place in our online gallery (first name + age only)

  • a warm celebration of their creativity

Because in our eyes, every child who creates is already a winner.

🌿 Important Dates

  • Competition opens: 1 July 2026

  • Entries close: 15 July 2026

  • Winners announced: 31 July 2026

🌼 How Winners Are Chosen

To keep things fair, gentle and inclusive, entries are reviewed by the Wild & Wonder team using simple, child‑friendly criteria:

  • Creativity — how they interpreted the idea of “thank you”

  • Effort — the care, detail or thought they put in

  • Expression — how clearly their idea comes through

  • Use of colour or materials — in their own unique style

We never judge the moment itself — only the creative response to the theme. Every child’s story is valued.

If you’d like a fuller version of this, I can shape a judging criteria section.

đź’¬ A Gentle Note for Families

Our Young Makers Competitions are always free to enter and open to children of all abilities. We keep our prizes simple and sustainable so we can continue offering these creative moments to as many families as possible.

🌟 A Warm Invitation

We can’t wait to see the moments your children choose, the colours they reach for, and the tiny wonders they bring to life through this month’s theme.

Their creativity is a gift — thank you for sharing it with us.
